Quirky or Insulting?
54Some people like to do the whole thinking outside the box thing and some people take that a step to far. One case in point is the fast food chain, Burger King. Their televised commercials tread a very thin line between being an insult to the intelligence and being the type of media content that uses traditional 'jingles' that stick in peoples minds.
By the content itself, it is fairly obvious that their marketing team are of a young mentality if not age as some of the commercials are more suited to the high school age bracket than targetting families and certainly not business clients. Does this mean that they are losing a large section of the public with disposable income? The answer to that lies in the chain stores aparent success wiorldwide. Whatever it is, it works, and that is what counts, in the end is it not?
